Freaquently Asked Questions

There could be various reasons why you might encounter difficulties during the sign-up process:

  1. Your card details have not been received by the ISIC Association from your card issuer, causing your card to remain inactive in our global database. To resolve this, please get in touch with your ISIC card issuer or activate your card using the provided link.

  2. It’s possible that the ISIC serial number you entered is incorrect. Remember that the ISIC card number should start with the letter “S,” followed by 12 digits, and end with one control letter (e.g., S 123 456 789 123 X).

  3. In case you encounter issues related to the name on your card, ensure that you input your name exactly as it appears on your card or the onboarding email you received from your card issuer.

There are multiple reasons why you might be facing issues while attempting to log in to the ISIC app:

  1. You haven’t completed the registration process within the app.

  2. You may have entered an incorrect email address or password.

  3. There could be an underlying problem with your account.

  4. If it has been a considerable amount of time since your last login, your ISIC card might have expired.

To resolve these issues:

  • Make sure you have registered an account within the ISIC app, even if you have previously registered on the website of the ISIC issuer in your country. If your account already exists, consider resetting your password.

There are various possible reasons why you might not have received the activation email:

  1. A typo might have occurred in the email address during the registration process on the app.

  2. The automated activation email could have been mistakenly identified as spam and filtered by your email provider.

  3. Your email service might have blocked the automated email message.

Please double-check your spam or junk mail folder for an email from isicaccounts@isic.org. Remember, even without the activation email, you can still use the ISIC app.

If there is no photo saved in our records, you must upload a photo through the app before you can access your digital card.

If you encounter difficulties during the photo upload process, ensure that the image is a headshot (not a picture of your physical ISIC card) and that it is taken against a white background. Improving the lighting conditions can also be beneficial.

If you believe you have uploaded the correct photo but the app still refuses to accept it, please reach out to us at mobile@isic.org, and we will investigate the matter for you.
